Topo Chico is a brand of sparkling mineral water sourced and bottled in Monterrey, Mexico. The product has been bottled since 1895 and is sold in Northern Mexico and all of the United States. Topo Chico is available in 25.4fl oz , 12 fl oz & 6.5 floz glass bottles, their PET bottles are available in 20.3 fl oz , 1 Lt, and 1.5Lt. Topo Chico is also available in lime and grapefruit flavor in the USA.
In October 2017, The Coca-Cola Company acquired the company.

History
Dr. Julio Randle decided to bottle the water with the name "Topo Chico" (meaning "Little Mole") because visitors to the site would take home water from it. The brand first appeared in 1895 when the "Fábrica de Aguas Minerales de Topo Chico," was established outside of Monterrey, Mexico, just beneath the Cerro del Topo Chico where the brand takes its name from. At the base of this mountain reside the springs where Topo Chico has always been sourced.
Approximately six years after it opened, the "Gran Fábrica de Aguas Minerales de San Bernabé" was established next to the spring, and in 1908, both companies merged to form what is known today as Compañía Topo Chico, S.A. Under the leadership of Manuel L. Barragán, the company managed to navigate the business climate following the Mexican Revolutionary war and become one of the largest and most respected beverage bottlers in the country. In 1926, the company became the first Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico when it was awarded the franchise for this globally recognized brand.
The 1980s were a turning point for Topo Chico when the company began expanding in the rest of the Mexican market. The brand was introduced into the United States in 1987 focusing on the Mexican-American market.
Topo Chico mineral water is sold in Northern Mexico, and across the United States.

The Legend
This is the legend speaks of the virtues of the water that has given its name, since 1895, to one of the most important drinks in all of Mexico: Topo Chico Mineral Water.
There was a beautiful Aztec princess who suffered a terrible disease, so strange that none of her father's doctors, Moctezuma I Ilhuicamina, successor in 1440 of the King Itzcoatl had been able to cure.
Desperate, the King turned to the older priests in the kingdom to find a cure for his beautiful daughter. They told him that according to the timeless stories of travelers, in a far away northern land, there were strange and hidden waters which flowed at high temperatures, waters in which one only needed to bathe in or drink from to regain vigor, joy, strength, and refreshment.
Encouraged by this news, Moctezuma I ordered an immediate expedition to take his daughter to this amazing place. After traveling long and rugged roads, the expedition and the Princess reached a fertile valley flanked by mountains. To the east, they saw a mountain with the form of woman's face (now "Cerro de la Silla") and also found a mole-shaped hill, from whose slopes flowed the prodigal waters.
After spending some time there, taking baths and drinking from the water, the daughter of Moctezuma I, his priests and chiefs returned to the Anahuac lands optimistic, strong, happy and refreshed. The news about the recovery of the Princess spread throughout the kingdom and has passed from generation to generation up until modern times.
Topo Chico has exploded in the bar scene in towns across America, most specifically Austin, Texas. At any time, in a bar, it is conceivable to see one or more people enjoying a Topo Chico either with their cocktail or stand alone. Topo Chico is now sold in grapefruit and lime flavoring in stores across Texas. Topo Chico's parent company Arca Continental was the first company to bottle Coca Cola in Mexico, creating the phenomenon of Mexican Coca Cola.
